Constance Tanner - bassoon
Connie joined Walker Dance Park Music in 2000, working closely with Ben on his scores and research; trying out new sounds and techniques on her instruments, tending to throw her years of classical training at the Royal Academy of Music out of the window.
When not working with WDPM, Connies varied freelance life leads her all over the UK and abroad, regularly appearing with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, RTE National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Cyprus State Orchestra, Grange Park Opera and The Aurora Ensemble, with whom she recently performed at the Wigmore Hall in London. She is also involved in many music education projects, working with groups of all ages and abilities around the UK.
She regularly travels to her favourite country, India, to coach and perform with the Bombay Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra of India.
When not playing the Bassoon, Connie can be found knitting quietly in a corner, wearing a tiara, though not a knitted one, but if you give her half a chance...
